Group layoff at Vegyépszer

Vegyépszer Zrt, one of the largest industrial property developing company of Hungary lays off 250 workers, which is almost 30 % of the workers.


The company accouted the tough market conditions for the strict measures. The 250 employers will be dismissed in several phases in January and February 2009. The company has alerady notified the Regional Empoyment Office.
In its press release Vegyépszer said that next year’s profit expectations had to be decreased to Ft50 billion compared to this year’s Ft80 billion revenue and the company reacted to the decrease by restructuring and rationalizing its expenses.
The company will continue fulfilling all its contracts without any stoppages the company emhasized.
